Korrect is a collection of nearly 43,000 aligned items in Welsh and English drawn from various projects to translate free or open software into Welsh (KDE, GNOME, KOffice, Mandrake, Red Hat, TuxPaint, Rosegarden, etc). The collection was originally assembled in 2004, when there was significant community activity around translating software into Welsh, much of which, unfortunately, has since dissipated.
Korrect was originally provided as a translation memory for work on KDE. This new edition splits long translation strings into shorter ones, usually sentences, and strips out most HTML markup. Note that because many of the translations were crowd-sourced, they may contain typos or early versions of terminology for which no word in Welsh existed at that time.
When you enter a word in the search box, 20 sentences in the corpus containing that word will be shown.
